The Wedge wire screens is a filtering element made of V-sectioned wires, arranged in a parallel manner and welded to support bars or rods. It can be made with wires and supports of different shapes, sizes and materials to be able to resist different temperatures, pressures and corrosive or abrasive actions. The main features are: high mechanical resistance, large open area, low tendency to clog. It is designed for retaining materials, filtering and sieving. Vee Wire Well Screen Pipe is manufactured by V or Wedge shaped wire around an internal arrangement of longitudinal support rods. Each intersecting point of this wire is fusion welded. The v or wedge shaped profile wire wraps around the support rods over the full length of the screen creating a continuous slot opening, hence the screen allows water or oil to enter your well freely in ample quantities, while at the same time keeps the majority of sand and gravel out of the well.
